A baby girl, still with her umbilical cord attached, was abandoned in Da Nang.

(NLĐO) – Amidst the scorching sun, residents of Da Nang City were surprised to discover an abandoned newborn baby girl.

On the afternoon of May 25th, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thu Bon commune ( Da Nang City), confirmed the information that residents in the area had just discovered an abandoned newborn baby.

According to initial information, at around 11 a.m. on the same day, while the weather in Da Nang was intensely hot, residents unexpectedly discovered a newborn baby girl, with her umbilical cord still attached, abandoned in Hamlet 17, Phu Nhuan 2 village (Thu Bon commune) and reported it to the local authorities.

After receiving first aid and initial care at the commune's health station, the specialized agency of Thu Bon commune transferred the child to the Northern Quang Nam Mountain General Hospital for further care. Currently, the child's health is stable.

Local authorities have issued a notice to find the child's relatives. Within 7 days, if no information about the child's parents is received, the Thu Bon Commune People's Committee will proceed with the birth registration and related procedures for the child in accordance with the law.
