Closing Ceremony of the 2nd Dien Bien Provincial Pickleball Club Tournament, 2025

VHO - On the afternoon of August 17, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien and the Dien Bien Provincial Police held the closing ceremony of the 2nd Dien Bien Provincial Pickleball Club Tournament in 2025.

The 2nd Pickleball Tournament of Dien Bien Province Clubs in 2025 was a great success.

The 2nd Pickleball Tournament of Dien Bien Province Clubs in 2025 is organized to contribute to improving health, physical fitness, spiritual life and happiness for the people. At the same time, it is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution; National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (2.9); 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (19.8) and 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Cultural Sector (28.8); welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 15th Provincial Party Congress.

The tournament attracted the participation of nearly 200 pairs of athletes from clubs in Dien Bien, the athletes competed in 18 events. After 3 days of exciting and dramatic competition, with high professional quality, the Organizing Committee awarded 20 First Prizes (HCV), 20 Second Prizes (HCB), 39 Third Prizes (HCB) to outstanding athletes.

According to the Organizing Committee, the participating units have invested in training carefully, the athletes' professional level and physical strength are quite even, the matches were exciting, dramatic and of high professional quality, demonstrating the competitive spirit of "Solidarity - Honesty - Nobility" along with the enthusiastic cheering of the fans, bringing a successful and meaningful tournament.

Since the tournament was first held in 2024, when the Pickleball movement first appeared in the area, it has developed rapidly in terms of training grounds, number of participants, and quality and level of athletes.

In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien will update, supplement data, and select criteria to classify athletes for upcoming tournaments. At the same time, it will continue to maintain and expand the development of the Pickleball training movement at all levels and sectors to select athletes with achievements to compete in the Dien Bien Provincial Sports Festival to take place in 2026.
