A 69-year-old male patient with many complex underlying diseases was successfully performed by a team of doctors from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in coordination with the intervention of "Valve-in-Valve TAVI" - a technique of replacing a new aortic valve through a catheter, placed inside the old biological valve that had degenerated.
Afterwards, the hemodynamic results showed a clear improvement, with no acute complications recorded, thereby affirming the mettle, level and confidence of the hospital's medical team in mastering the most advanced interventional cardiovascular techniques today.

The live performance has demonstrated the remarkable growth of interventional cardiology in Vietnam. Currently, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital has deployed most of the advanced techniques such as PCI, TAVI, MitraClip, valvuloplasty, closure of congenital heart defects, etc.
Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Nguyen Hoang Dinh, Deputy Director of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, emphasized: "The direct performance of the Valve-in-Valve TAVI case is not only an opportunity for us to share in-depth experience, but also clearly demonstrates the hospital's ability to master advanced interventional cardiovascular techniques."

This is a testament to the hospital's efforts in mastering advanced technology and commitment to innovation, improving treatment quality, and bringing maximum benefits to cardiovascular patients.
Within the framework of the 11th National Interventional Cardiology Conference, which gathered more than 1,000 experts recently held in Gia Lai province, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital left a profound professional mark through two live demonstrations: One case of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVI) and one case of percutaneous coronary intervention.
The conference brought a rich academic program with many scientific reports, typical clinical cases and in-depth training sessions. In particular, the conference emphasized the trend of developing minimally invasive techniques, aiming to optimize treatment effectiveness and improve patient safety.
