In the 2024 - 2025 dry season, in Savannakhet province, Team 584 made efforts to search for and collect the remains of 12 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who died on the Lao battlefield.
In deep emotion and gratitude, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai and members of the delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers to the martyrs' remains collected by Team 584 at the unit's barracks in Tho village, Pha Lan Xay district, Savannakhet province.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility of the officers and staff of Team 584. At the same time, he requested the unit to overcome all difficulties to continue searching for and retrieving the remains of martyrs, as well as prepare well in all aspects to organize the ceremony to receive and pay tribute to the remains of martyrs when they return home.
As planned, on May 21, the Special Working Group of Savannakhet Province and the Steering Committee 515 of Quang Tri Province will hold a ceremony to receive the martyrs' remains at Xa Ot Bridge, Lao Bao - Den Sa Van International Border Gate, after which the martyrs' remains will be brought to the National Martyrs' Cemetery on Road 9.
On the morning of May 22, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province will solemnly hold a memorial service and bury the remains of martyrs at the National Martyrs Cemetery on Road 9.
