Believing that digital transformation is not only an inevitable trend but also a driving force for the comprehensive development of society, spreading across all fields and globally, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet affirmed that in the digital age, technology users play an equally important role as technology creators.

To successfully transform digitally, we need digital citizens with the skills to study, work, start a business and innovate in the digital environment. Young people - the pioneers of society - need to take the lead in improving their digital skills, not only for themselves but also to support the community, contributing to making digital transformation a nationwide revolution.

Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Minh Triet also stated that in the context of digital transformation, young people face many challenges, notably fierce competition in the labor market as technology and automation gradually replace humans in some fields. The global labor shift also requires young people to constantly improve their capacity to adapt. If they are not proactively equipped with digital skills, young people will not only lose job opportunities and personal development but also affect the country's competitiveness.

"In this era, being slower than others is already a step backward. However, digital transformation is not only a challenge but also an opportunity for young people to break through, create new values, and contribute to building a strong and prosperous Vietnam," said Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Minh Triet.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet added that, in the role of accompanying Vietnamese youth, in recent times, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has implemented many practical activities, creating a favorable environment for young people to raise awareness, access knowledge and digital skills necessary for studying, working and starting a business.

In particular, improving digital capacity for young people is identified as one of the three breakthrough tasks of the 12th National Congress of the Youth Union (term 2022 - 2027). The goal is to equip young people with the correct awareness, knowledge and digital skills necessary for studying, working, starting a business and creating in the digital age; thereby contributing to improving labor productivity, national competitiveness and implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing science, technology and innovation.

VOV Deputy General Director Pham Manh Hung also stated that Vietnam is facing an opportunity to make a breakthrough thanks to digital transformation, which is not only a solution but also a strategic path to shorten the development gap. Young people - with a dynamic, creative spirit, sensitive to technology - need to be given opportunities and equipped with skills to become a pioneer in innovation and national digital transformation.

Journalist Pham Manh Hung believes that the program "Improving digital capacity for youth" will be an important bridge to help the young generation access opportunities to develop digital skills, gain practical experience, participate in science - technology and innovation projects, contributing to creating high-quality human resources, capable of competing in the digital age.
