The East Sea is about to welcome 2-3 new storms

QNgTV- The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns that from now until November 10, there is a possibility of 2 to 3 storms or tropical depressions appearing in the East Sea, and 1 to 2 storms may affect mainland Vietnam.

Extreme weather has led to heavy rains causing deep flooding in many areas of the North in recent times.

During the forecast period (from now until November 10), provinces from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai are likely to experience some widespread heavy rains; other areas will have showers and thunderstorms for many days; in which, some days may have moderate to heavy rain.

Nationwide, there is still a possibility of dangerous weather phenomena such as thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

In the context of climate change, weather and climate are becoming more and more complex with many dangerous and extreme forms such as heavy rain in a short time, flash floods, landslides, etc. Therefore, people need to regularly update and integrate meteorological and hydrological forecast and warning information in short-term bulletins of 1-3 days, to promptly adjust production plans and appropriate response plans, especially reservoir operation plans, ensuring safety of works and downstream areas, safety for production activities and people's lives.
