Accordingly, 400 billion VND from the central budget reserve in 2025 will be spent on 4 localities to meet immediate emergency needs and stabilize people's lives after floods.
Of which, Thai Nguyen received 250 billion VND, Cao Bang received 80 billion VND, Lang Son received 50 billion VND and Bac Ninh received 20 billion VND.
This is the second support in less than half a month that the Government has provided to the northern provinces severely affected by natural disasters. The Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son and Bac Ninh provinces to be responsible for managing and using the money for the right purposes, for the right subjects, transparently, without loss or negativity, and report the results to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for synthesis and reporting to the Government.
On October 8, the Prime Minister decided to provide emergency aid of VND140 billion to the four above-mentioned provinces to promptly provide relief and initially overcome the consequences of floods. Of which, Thai Nguyen received VND50 billion, Cao Bang VND30 billion, Lang Son VND30 billion, and Bac Ninh VND30 billion.
