Most notably, the demolition of the illegally constructed "white villa" on over 15,000 square meters of national defense land has attracted significant attention.

According to reports, authorities mobilized numerous vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to enforce the demolition of the illegally constructed villa belonging to Mr. VTT in the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone.

The illegally occupied land has a total area of over 15,690m², of which nearly 4,800m² is state-managed land and over 10,900m² is national defense land managed by the 5th Naval Region Command.

According to authorities, Mr. T illegally occupied the land, altered its original state, planted trees, and constructed numerous permanent structures resembling a "mansion," causing public outrage for a long time.

Previously, on October 24, 2025, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone signed a decision to enforce remedial measures against Mr. VTT.

According to the decision, Mr. T is required to restore the land to its original state before the violation occurred, including the boundaries and markers of the plot.

Although the authorities of Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone have issued numerous enforcement orders, the complex nature of the case and the many obstacles in the implementation process have prevented previous enforcement efforts from resolving the issue completely.

Prior to the official enforcement decision taking effect, Mr. T had voluntarily dismantled part of the structure and moved many valuable assets and belongings out of the villa during the night.

However, the individual still refused to voluntarily hand over the land, forcing local authorities and relevant agencies to organize a forced eviction on the morning of May 22nd.

In parallel with the above incident, authorities also enforced the removal of 18 other households that had illegally occupied and constructed buildings on a total area of more than 7,840m² of land in the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone.

Local authorities stated that this enforcement action demonstrates their determination to restore order in land management and construction in the area, while also affirming their stance on strictly handling violations, with no exceptions or forbidden zones.
