Binh Thuan: Phan Thiet beach is packed with locals and tourists.

The five-day April 30th and May 1st holiday, coupled with hot weather, has led to a surge in demand for leisure and relaxation trips to coastal areas.

During the first two days of the holiday, April 30th - May 1st, the number of tourists visiting Phan Thiet city (Binh Thuan province) increased significantly. The beaches in the city center were crowded with locals and tourists swimming.

From the afternoon of April 30th and throughout May 1st, tourists from all over continued to flock to the coastal city of Phan Thiet. Despite the hot weather, many tourists still visited and swam at beaches such as Hon Rom, Mui Ne, Ham Tien, Da Ong Dia, Doi Duong, Thuong Chanh, Tien Thanh, etc.

At over 4 PM on May 1st, Doi Duong beach was packed with tourists swimming. The food stalls on the beach were also crowded with locals enjoying drinks and local specialties.

The streets of Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Huynh Thuc Khang, etc., are crowded with cars and motorbikes parked all along both sides, and the roads leading down to the beaches have become bustling.

According to travel companies, while in previous years hotels mainly focused on accommodating group tours, this year the focus is on family groups of 4-5 people.

With its unspoiled, tranquil scenery and stable room and service prices, Tien Thanh Tourist Area is increasingly chosen by domestic and international tourists as a destination for sightseeing and relaxation when visiting Phan Thiet. The eco-tourism and community-based tourism areas attract a large number of visitors during holidays.

To attract tourists, tourist areas have organized many rich and diverse activities to meet the entertainment needs of the people and tourists, such as: water sports like kitesurfing, windsurfing, surfing, parasailing, jet skiing...; at Novaworld Phan Thiet, there was a low-altitude fireworks display and a music festival; at The Cliff Resort & Residences in Phan Thiet city, the Kite Festival - Hello Sunny...

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, the number of tourists booking rooms at accommodation establishments is mainly concentrated from April 30th to May 3rd, reaching about 70-95% of room capacity, while the remaining days have about 30-40% of room capacity; the majority are domestic tourists from Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and provinces in the South and North of Vietnam...

During this holiday period, Binh Thuan is expected to welcome approximately 228,500 visitors (sightseeing and overnight stays), an increase of about 4% compared to 2024, with estimated revenue of around 450 billion VND.

To ensure good service and meet the needs of tourists, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed the Management Boards of tourist areas and attractions, and tourism businesses in the province to strictly manage and control the security and order situation, fire prevention and control, rescue operations, environmental sanitation, food safety, prices, and service quality; strengthen propaganda and mobilize the people to practice civilized lifestyles and cultural behavior towards tourists... ensuring that tourists visiting Binh Thuan during this holiday are safe, comfortable, and have a good impression.
