These are loving messages sent from Lieutenant Do Tuan Anh, Squadron 134, Brigade 170 (Naval Region 1) to his girlfriend Nguyen Thanh Huyen, a primary education student (Hoa Lu University).

Sitting in the lecture hall, rereading her boyfriend's text message and reminiscing about their first meeting, Huyen's eyes lit up with pride. Born and raised in a family with a tradition of military service and teaching, Huyen had always admired and respected soldiers who protected the country's peace since childhood. That evening, after finishing her studies, Huyen went on Facebook to chat with friends. A friend request appeared on her feed from an account with a profile picture of a young man in a Navy uniform, with a serious expression and holding a bouquet of flowers. Impressed by this, Huyen sent a friend request. He accepted shortly afterward, but they didn't talk.

Months passed, and on October 10th, her birthday, amidst numerous wishes from friends and family, Huyen was delighted and impressed that the young man she had befriended had sent her birthday greetings. Through conversation, they found they clicked. Tuan Anh shared stories about his time in the military, life on the ship, and other experiences, in a warm and gentle manner, which impressed her. On that November 20th, Tuan Anh arranged his work schedule and asked his superior for permission to travel. He traveled over 200km from Quang Ninh to Ninh Binh , standing at the school gate with a bouquet of white baby's breath flowers to wait for her and offer his congratulations. Later, after they had fallen in love, he revealed that these flowers symbolized his beautiful feelings for his girlfriend. This was also the first time the young couple met in person, and he took her hand instead of expressing his love in words.

Tuan Anh's job often keeps him away from home, keeping him busy, with voyages involving training exercises or avoiding storms... sometimes leaving him without phone signal for days. During those times, he always tries to text and call as much as possible, so that when a signal suddenly comes back, his message can reach his girlfriend. Huyen understands and empathizes with many planned dates and outings that are canceled due to her boyfriend's unexpected work commitments.

Despite studying and working far apart, the couple, with their sincere love and the support of their families, have made plans for the future. They are just waiting for Huyen to finish her studies, and then they will move in together and build a happy home.
