According to Alternative 's cryptocurrency market sentiment tracker, the Fear and Greed index plummeted by 10 points on two consecutive days, November 10th and 11th.
In the cryptocurrency field, Fear and Greed is an indicator used to measure investor sentiment. The scale ranges from 0 to 100, where 0 represents "extreme fear" and 100 "extreme greed." This is also the lowest level of investor fear in the past year.
According to Bitfinex experts, the recent sharp market decline mainly stems from the lack of clarity regarding key US economic conditions and monetary policy direction.
This "information blackout" stemmed from the US government shutdown, which lasted from October 1st to November 13th, causing reports on inflation and the labor market to stall.
In this context, experts believe the market is forced to adjust due to a lack of guiding information, coupled with political instability that further increases investor caution.

Noelle Acheson, author of Crypto Is Macro Now, believes the recent price drop was a necessary correction after months of sideways market movement and the inability to sustain a breakout above $120,000. According to Acheson, the deciding factor for Bitcoin remains macroeconomic liquidity.
The sharp decline in Bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency market has led many to believe that the market has reached the end of its four-year cycle.
According to this view, every four years Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market will experience a sharp price increase, followed by a period of decline. This time is called the "crypto winter" when the market is sluggish, prices fall sharply, and most investors leave the market.
