The Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security's working group at UNMISS donated nearly 2,000 school supplies to teachers and students at two schools in South Sudan. This activity took place on Africa Children's Day, June 16th.

On the occasion of African Children's Day on June 16th, the working group of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, stationed at the United Nations peacekeeping mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), coordinated with relevant agencies of UNMISS and local police to visit and greet the students.
At Hy Vong Secondary School and Thong Nhat Primary School in the IDP refugee camp area No. 01 (Juba), UNMISS personal police officers and gender experts held talks with representatives of more than 1,700 students.
The content aims to raise awareness about the importance of education .

At the same time, police officers also disseminated knowledge about gender and gave gifts to female students.
To share the difficulties, with the main support resources from the Women's Association of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Public Security's working group at UNMISS donated nearly 2,000 school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, chalk, and marking pens to students and teachers at the two schools.
In addition, the police mission network also provided the students with various toys such as jump ropes, soccer balls, pens, and coloring paper…
This is the third charitable activity of the Women's Association of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, implemented by the task force on their behalf.
The initiative is expected to contribute to bringing faith and hope to African children who have suffered greatly from civil wars and live in extremely difficult conditions in refugee camps.
