The Ministry of Industry and Trade operates a chatbot for Q&A about E10 bioethanol.

From June 1st, 2026, E10 bioethanol fuel will officially be put into use nationwide according to the roadmap outlined in Circular No. 50/2025/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. To promptly serve the information needs of the general public regarding this new fuel, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has officially launched a specialized chatbot system for answering questions about E10 fuel.

Automated responses based on official databases.

The chatbot is built on an integrated database of hundreds of questions and answers, covering all the issues of current public concern such as: suitable vehicle types for using E10 gasoline, usage methods, fuel consumption levels, and the mandatory transition roadmap.

How it works: People simply enter their questions directly, and the system automatically searches the database and provides the most relevant answers.

Information quality control: For new questions not already in the database, the chatbot will not automatically generate content. The system will record these questions so that the administrators can add answers, ensuring that the information provided to readers is always accurate and minimizing errors.

Integrated platform: This tool is now directly integrated into the Industry and Trade Newspaper and the Ministry of Industry and Trade's electronic portal, supporting convenient use on both computer and mobile interfaces.

The goal is to ensure energy security and protect the environment.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the deployment of E10 bioethanol is not an imposed decision, but rather aims at achieving the nation's long-term strategic goals:

Reducing urban air pollution: The ethanol component in E10 gasoline helps the combustion process in the engine to be cleaner and more complete. This significantly reduces harmful emissions that cause serious environmental pollution, such as CO, HC, SOx, and NOx.

Ensuring national energy security: Given that Vietnam imports most of its petroleum products and is directly dependent on fluctuations in the international market, replacing 10% of gasoline consumption with domestically produced ethanol would correspondingly reduce import costs. This option is estimated to save the country nearly $1 billion in foreign currency annually.
