At the ceremony, the Ministry of Science and Technology announced and awarded the following decisions:
Decision No. 1789/QD-BKHCN dated July 16, 2025 of the Minister of Science and Technology, transferring and appointing Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai, Director of the Department of Planning and Finance to hold the position of Chairman of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality.
Decision No. 1768/QD-BKHCN dated July 16, 2025 of the Minister of Science and Technology, transferring and appointing Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong Luu, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology to hold the position of Director of the Department of Planning and Finance.
Decision No. 1766/QD-BKHCN dated July 16, 2025 of the Minister of Science and Technology, transferring and appointing Mr. Ha Minh Hiep, Chairman of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality, to hold the position of Chief of Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Decision No. 1788/QD-BKHCN dated July 16, 2025 of the Minister of Science and Technology, transferring and appointing Mr. Tran Dang Khoa, Secretary of the Minister of Science and Technology, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality.
Decision No. 1769/QD-BKHCN dated July 16, 2025 of the Minister of Science and Technology, assigning Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology, to concurrently hold the duties and powers of Secretary of the Minister of Science and Technology until further decision.
The above decisions are effective from the date of signing.
Minister Nguyen Manh Hung presented the decision and flowers to congratulate the officials.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized: "This is the first time the Ministry of Science and Technology has appointed five officials to move sideways, while the previous practice was usually to move up. But moving sideways is like being promoted to a higher position, everyone is happy, excited, and eager. This is a very good spirit."
According to the Minister, this transfer and appointment is a rotation of cadres to train and challenge the leadership team, helping cadres learn, mature, work in a new environment and prepare for further development.
"The five officials who were awarded the decision today are all excellent officials of the Ministry. These are people with capacity and personality. Personality here is understood as people with opinions. People with opinions are very important. People with personality and opinions can lead organizations, balance relationships and coordinate with different people in an organization," the Minister shared.
Minister Nguyen Manh Hung wished the officials who have taken on new tasks to have more motivation, activate new energy, create many innovations and even have aspects of self-regeneration. The Minister emphasized: "Usually we are afraid of change, but maturity is through change, changing ourselves. Many times, thanks to the new context, new position, you will develop potential that you have not discovered in your whole life."
The Minister affirmed that despite the rotation, the officials are still in "a common house" which is the Ministry of Science and Technology. The positions today are all important and leading positions./.
