According to a representative of Gia Loc Industrial Park, located in Gia Phuc Commune ( Hai Phong City), the industrial park has just been allowed to add more industries to the list of high-tech industries prioritized for investment and development and the list of high-tech products encouraged for development.
Accordingly, the zone has 12 additional industries such as: Software equipment systems, identification analysis, forecasting, conditions based on artificial intelligence; semiconductor, optoelectronic and photonic materials; integrated electronic components and circuits (IC); flexible electronic products and circuits (PE); micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), nano-electromechanical systems; high-grade technical rubber materials, specialized synthetic rubber for the machinery manufacturing, electricity, electronics, security and defense industries; technology for designing and manufacturing high-resolution screens; technology for developing operating systems for specialized computers, new generation mobile devices, etc.
Previously, Gia Loc Industrial Park was allowed to attract 9 investment sectors but lacked high-tech industries that were encouraged to develop. Therefore, adding more high-tech industries will facilitate the unit to attract businesses, improve the quality of the industrial park's operations, and be in line with the current development trend.
Gia Loc Industrial Park covers an area of 197.94 hectares. By early June 2025, the park had attracted 3 investment projects, including 1 domestic investment project and 2 foreign investment projects.
