Minister of Health presents gifts to pediatric cancer patients on International Children's Day

The Minister of Health and the Bright Tomorrow Fund presented 60 gifts and cash (VND 1 million/gift) to child patients and praised the Fund's persistent contributions in supporting cancer patients.

On May 28, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan visited, presented gifts and encouraged children being treated at the Department of Pediatrics, K Hospital, Tan Trieu facility, on the occasion of International Children's Day (June 1).

The Minister of Health visited the children, talked with their families and listened to the stories of the families who have been with the hospital for a long time during their treatment. The Minister wished the children a speedy recovery, a return to school and their families.

Doctor Do Cam Thanh - Head of the Pediatrics Department said that the doctors of the department are treating 70 patients, including 50 children, most of whom are treated in batches. In addition to care and treatment, the medical staff here also always try to create conditions to support the mental health of children and their families.

Minister Dao Hong Lan acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and dedication of doctors and nurses in treating children - a special group of patients who need comprehensive care.

On this occasion, the Minister of Health and the Bright Tomorrow Fund presented 60 gifts and cash (VND 1 million/gift) to the child patients. At the same time, the Minister also praised the Fund's persistent contributions in supporting cancer patients. The Fund has become a reliable support, a great source of encouragement to help many cancer patients, especially children, have more hope, faith and determination to overcome the disease to continue living a healthy life.

After visiting the sick children, the Minister of Health visited the K Hospital's Accommodation House - a place that provides free support for poor patients from distant provinces for treatment. According to the hospital representative, the house has 190 beds, fully equipped with essential amenities, helping patients and their relatives feel secure in receiving treatment in safe conditions./.
