On October 25th, NetNam celebrated its 30th anniversary and received a Certificate of Commendation from the Ministry of Information and Communications for its outstanding achievements and contributions to the information and communications industry.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Phong Nha, Deputy Director of the Telecommunications Department (Ministry of Information and Communications), said that 30 years ago, the Internet was an add-on service, but now it has become an indispensable service for everyone, and NetNam has left a clear mark on that journey. Over the past 30 years, NetNam has found its own market, a unique approach that has maintained 5-star service for its customers.

“ Now that new high-speed internet technology has developed, the next generations of NetNam will continue to innovate, seeking business opportunities such as high-tech zones… The demand for internet continues to boom for the digital society and digital economy , and NetNam's services will serve these customers ,” said Mr. Nguyen Phong Nha.

Sharing about the key to NetNam's development over the past 30 years, Mr. Tran Ba ​​Thai, Chairman of NetNam, said that the key to NetNam's success is "team," because it is thanks to this team that NetNam has been able to stand firm in the challenging Internet market.

“ The development of NetNam cannot be discussed without mentioning the support of international friends, specifically scientists at the Australian National University, considered the birthplace of NetNam, who assisted NetNam and Vietnam during the country's embargo. Regarding NetNam's development today, I want to highlight the foresight of Dr. Mai Liem Truc and his open-market mindset, because without that, NetNam would not exist today. These are the people who sowed the seeds for NetNam to reap the rewards over the past 30 years, and now the people of NetNam are continuing to sow the seeds to reap the good fruits in the future ,” said Mr. Tran Ba ​​Thai.

Mr. Nguyen Vu An, General Director of NetNam, said that exactly 30 years ago, NetNam and three other telecommunications companies, VDC, FPT, and Saigon Postel, were present at the opening ceremony of the Vietnamese Internet and began a journey of nearly a third of a century, leaving many significant marks on the Vietnamese ICT industry.

“ Thirty years ago, when the Internet was something very vague, NetNam brought it to Vietnam. Now, the Internet is an indispensable part of every family and individual. For the past 30 years, NetNam has been the top choice for 5-star hotels, universities, and businesses. NetNam has entered a niche market for its customers with over 300 employees. After 30 years, the entrepreneurial spirit still burns in every NetNam employee, guiding them towards the future ,” said Mr. Nguyen Vu An.
