The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued the 2026 journalist card template.

I. SAMPLE JOURNALIST CARD

Card dimensions: 85.725*53.975*0.76mm

II. SIZE, MATERIAL, AND DESIGN

1. Dimensions: Length 85.725mm, width 53.975mm, thickness

0.76mm, according to ISO CR80 standard.

2. Material: Made of PVC plastic, matte finish on both sides.

3. Design: The front background is yellow, with a lotus flower and bronze drum motifs printed in the center, and a red background. The journalist's card is in two languages: Vietnamese and English.

3.1. Front side of the journalist's ID card:

a) Adjacent to the left edge of the press card:

- The top section features a photograph of the cardholder measuring 2cm x 3cm.

- Below the image is the location of the QR code that identifies the information of the person issued the journalist's card.

b) Between the cards:

- At the top, the words "PRESS CARD" are printed in capital letters.

- Below are the following lines of text: Full name; Pseudonym;

Year of birth; Organization.

- At the bottom are the following lines of text: Card number/ No; Date of issue; Date of expiry.

c) Adjacent to the right edge of the press card:

- At the bottom are the title and signature of the person authorized to sign the journalist's card, and the seal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

3.2. The back of the journalist's ID card:

a) At the top is printed the words in capital letters: “SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM” .

b) In the center is the national emblem.

c) The background is red with a bronze drum pattern, and below the card is a lotus flower image.

d) Below the national emblem is the capitalized text "PRESS CARD".

III. REGULATIONS REGARDING INFORMATION ON JOURNALIST CARDS

1. Full name: Write the journalist's full name in capital letters, as stated in the registration form.

Signing for card issuance and replacement.

2. Pseudonym: Enter the name as provided in the card issuance/renewal application form.

3. Year of birth: Enter your year of birth as stated in the card issuance/renewal application form.

4. Agency: Enter the agency where the applicant works, as stated in the application form for card issuance or renewal.

5. The journalist's ID card number consists of 9 digits randomly selected by the software system.

6. QR code for identifying information of press card holders: When the QR code is scanned, it will display information matching the database in the press card data system in real time, including: Card validity status; Full name; Press agency; Press card number.

7. Validity period of the journalist's card: 5 years from the date of issuance.
