At the conference, provincial legal reporters disseminated the basic contents of the Law on Gender Equality; some issues related to gender equality in the lives of ethnic minorities; the Law on Marriage and Family; the rights and obligations of spouses in implementing equality in the family; and identified violations of the law on gender equality.

In addition, delegates were also informed about the following topics: The Party and State's viewpoints on women's work and gender equality; the current status of gender equality work; prevention and control of gender-based violence; the role of grassroots cadres in promoting gender equality in the locality.

The conference was held to effectively implement the Project "Supporting gender equality activities in ethnic minority areas for the period 2018-2025"; helping grassroots cadres and prestigious people in the community to be trained, updated with knowledge, and effectively disseminate the Party and State's policies to people in the community. Thereby, contributing to raising social awareness, mobilizing people to properly implement legal regulations on gender equality, and promoting the position of women in ethnic minority areas.
