With the cheers of many fans, the Thai team started the match strongly but the Vietnamese volleyball team also played very well. Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen affirmed her talent when she effectively took advantage of the opportunities created by her teammates. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team created a 4-point gap (9/5) but the Thai hitters also pursued fiercely. The developments at the end of the first game were very exciting when the two teams competed for each point and Bich Tuyen's excellence helped the Vietnamese team rise to win 25/23. This was the game in which Bich Tuyen alone contributed 9 points while Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Tran Thi Bich Thuy played well, contributing important points.

The second game witnessed a strong rise of the Thai girls. The home team was not only effective in attacking but also organized a good defense, blocking many shots from Thanh Thuy, Bich Tuyen, and Nguyen Thi Uyen. At times, the opponent led by 9 points (7/13), but the Vietnamese team did not give up, gradually narrowing the gap to 2 points (19/21). At the crucial moment of this game, the Vietnamese team complained about the ball touching the floor before the Thai player saved it. The referee initially accepted the Vietnamese team's complaint but then changed his decision, giving the home team a point. This controversial score helped Thailand increase the gap and then win 25/19, equalizing the score 1-1.

The high spirits helped the Thai team play impressively at the beginning of game 3. The home team continuously took the lead over the Vietnamese team, at times creating a gap of 4 points (15/11). This was the time when Bich Tuyen was not in good shape, but another star of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, Thanh Thuy, shone in time. Thanh Thuy's consecutive scoring helped the Vietnamese team tie the score at 15/15. Catching up on the score helped the Vietnamese girls return to good form, pushing pressure on their opponents. In addition to Thanh Thuy, Bich Tuyen also shone again, helping the Vietnamese team take the lead 20/16 and then win impressively 25/21.

With no way back, the Thai women's volleyball team played hard in game 4. This was also the game where the home team's blockers successfully neutralized many attacks from Bich Tuyen, Bich Thuy and Thanh Thuy. Thanks to that, the Thai team won 25/17, tying the score at 2-2.

The final match of the first round of SEA V.League had to go into the 5th decisive game to determine the winner. In this game, most of the attacking passes of the Vietnamese team were passed to Bich Tuyen and Thanh Thuy. The "twin" Bich Tuyen - Thanh Thuy continuously scored points, helping the Vietnamese team to compete with Thailand in points. However, the home team's hitters took advantage of the opportunity better at the crucial moment, winning 15/11.

Coming from behind to win 3-2 against the Vietnamese team, the Thai team won the championship title of the first round of SEA V.League. The two teams will meet again in the second round taking place from August 8 to 10 in Ninh Binh .
