On the night of September 7th, the Rock Concert " Heart of Vietnam" was held at Thang Long Imperial Citadel ( Hanoi ). This program, part of a series of activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, brought together a diverse lineup of artists, from veteran bands to young talents, offering the audience a colorful tapestry of Vietnamese rock music.

Featuring prominent rock bands such as Bức Tường, Ngũ Cung, Chillies, The Flob, and guest artists like Dương Trần Nghĩa, Thái Thùy Linh, Phạm Anh Khoa, and Thùy Anh, the program brings together a series of famous songs that have resonated with audiences across generations, including "Lên đàng," "Dậy mà đi," "Hát mãi khúc quân hành," "Bài ca đất phương Nam," "Khát vọng tuổi trẻ," "Writing the next chapter of peace," "The country is full of joy," and "The road to glory"...

Ngu Cung set the stage ablaze with "Co Doi Thuong Ngan" —a work rich in folk culture but given a modern rock feel. Meanwhile, The Flob and Chillies brought youthful, fresh sounds, breathing life into familiar revolutionary songs, making the heroic melodies more relatable and fresh for the younger generation. Guest vocalists like Thai Thuy Linh and Duong Tran Nghia added rich emotional nuances, making the rock party diverse and complete.

In the overall picture, Bức Tường (The Wall) still stands out as the central highlight – a monument to Vietnamese rock after 30 years. The band took the audience through many emotions with songs like "The Nameless Road," "October," "Glass Rose," "Black Eyes," "Long Journeys," and especially "Epic of Vietnam " by the late musician Trần Lập – chosen to open and close the performance, as a reminder of national pride and the aspiration to rise above adversity.

One of the most memorable moments was when Bức Tường and rocker Phạm Anh Khoa performed "The Country Full of Joy ." The song resonated powerfully and emotionally, imbued with both epic spirit and explosive rock energy, prompting thousands of audience members to sing along in a mix of emotion and joy. The concert concluded with "The Road to Glory ," a song that has become an icon of Bức Tường, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts of listeners.

Although the program wasn't entirely perfect due to sound issues, the spirit of rock was still strongly felt. The enthusiasm of the audience, especially the younger generation, overcame the technical limitations, turning the concert into clear proof that Vietnamese rock has the power to attract and inspire.
Beyond just music , fans of the band Bức Tường have left a positive mark on the community. After the show, hundreds of members of the Bức Tường fan group stayed behind to clean up the trash around the stage area.
The rock concert " Heart of Vietnam" is considered the closing event of the national concert month commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd. This series of concerts partly reflects the development of the performing arts industry in Vietnam, while also showcasing the creative and diverse approaches of cultural institutions in organizing artistic events to celebrate major holidays.
