This is a practical action, demonstrating the role of Vietnam Post - the national postal enterprise, always present everywhere, in every situation, with the whole country towards difficult areas, bringing love and sharing to people affected by natural disasters.
VNPost representative added that the recent consecutive natural disasters, especially storms No. 10 and No. 11 and their circulations, have caused widespread flooding, landslides, and traffic jams in provinces such as Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Ninh, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Phu Tho, Hanoi , Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, etc., affecting the delivery of mail, parcels, and goods by Vietnam Post. Thanks to the implementation of response scenarios and careful preparation in advance, by the morning of October 9, 2025, Vietnam Post's delivery activities had basically been restored and returned to normal operation in most areas.
However, at present, in some areas of Thai Nguyen province such as Thai Nguyen Center, Dinh Hoa, Dong Hy, Vo Nhai, Na Ri, the flooding situation is still serious. Many areas are isolated, traffic on national highways, provincial roads and rural roads is still congested. Therefore, delivery activities in these areas are still facing many difficulties, some points have to be temporarily suspended to ensure safety according to the direction of local authorities.
In addition, maintaining communication and coordinating vehicles in stormy conditions and power outages also faces many limitations, putting great pressure on the operation and organization of transportation across the entire network.
To maintain safe and smooth network operations, Vietnam Post has flexibly changed some routes, transferred mail through multiple stages, or coordinated mail trucks to temporarily stop, take shelter, or slow down in dangerous weather conditions.
Vietnam Post has proactively developed and implemented plans to prevent, combat and respond to natural disasters as soon as it received information about storms, in order to ensure the safety of people and property and maintain stable operations across the entire network. Priority is given to the following contents: the entire network must develop detailed, specific and realistic plans for natural disaster prevention, search and rescue according to the characteristics of natural disasters in each locality and disseminate them to each officer, employee and worker to know and implement them when floods and storms occur.
Organize a good shock team to serve the work of prevention, on-site recovery and rescue when natural disasters occur. Fully equip equipment, tools, means, and logistics to serve the work of natural disaster prevention, search and rescue according to the motto "four on-site" and "three ready".
Before and during floods and storms, the Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue at all levels are on duty 24/7, proactively coordinating with relevant units to exchange and grasp accurate information for direction and operation; creatively implementing proposed natural disaster prevention and control plans.
In addition, Vietnam Post always determines that, in any circumstances, in addition to the task of ensuring the safety of people, property and goods, each cadre, employee and worker of the Post Office also carries responsibility to the community. Therefore, the Corporation regularly disseminates to the entire network the spirit of "serving the community, connecting people with quality, friendly and modern service"; not only ensuring the safe circulation of information and goods but also being ready to support and join hands with local people to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
