Due to the impact of storm No. 11 causing prolonged heavy rain, floodwaters from upstream quickly poured in, causing many areas in Bac Ninh province to be deeply flooded, seriously affecting the power system and people's lives. According to statistics as of the morning of October 10, the whole province had 879 power grid incidents such as broken power poles, damaged transformer stations, broken wires... At the same time, to ensure absolute safety for people and electrical equipment in the conditions of flooding and prolonged storms, Bac Ninh Electricity Company has directed the regional electricity management teams to proactively suspend power supply in many communes such as Yen The, Bo Ha, Dong Ky, Tam Tien, Xuan Luong... The total number of customers without power is nearly 1.1 million.

In order to quickly restore power supply, Bac Ninh Electricity Company has deployed synchronous response measures, ensuring grid safety and handling incidents as soon as possible. The unit has established shock teams to handle incidents across the province. Typically, on October 8, a shock team consisting of 30 officers and employees from 8 power management teams in the South of Cau River (old Bac Ninh) set off on duty, fully equipped with labor protection, specialized tools and necessary construction equipment, demonstrating a sense of responsibility and readiness to respond to any emergency situation.

Thanks to the active and proactive participation, up to now, Bac Ninh Electricity has repaired and restored power to most areas, with 1,051,296 customers having their power restored. Currently, the whole province still has 45,594 customers without electricity, mainly in areas that are still deeply flooded. Specifically: Hiep Hoa area 8,885 customers; Bac Giang area 895; Tan Yen area 2,776; Yen The area 10,735; Viet Yen area 5,773; Lang Giang area 15,819; Yen Phong area 459; Kinh Bac area 246; Que Vo area 5 and Luc Nam area 1 customer. The electricity sector will continue to repair and restore power as soon as the water recedes and safety conditions are ensured.

Currently, the staff and workers of Bac Ninh Electricity Company are still on duty day and night, making every effort to fix problems in the affected areas, determined to soon completely restore the power grid in the province, ensuring a safe and uninterrupted power source to serve the people's daily life and production.

Bac Ninh Electricity Company recommends that people in affected areas should be extremely careful when using electricity after the storm. Before turning on the electricity, people need to check the electrical system in the house (from behind the meter), ensure that the wires, sockets, circuit breakers and equipment are dry, not leaking, cracked or damaged. Absolutely do not touch electrical equipment with bare hands when not sure it is safe. For equipment or lines that have been flooded, they need to be removed, dried or replaced before use.

The electricity industry also reminds people not to make temporary connections or use bare wires or wet sockets to avoid the risk of electric shock, fire, and explosion, endangering life and property.
