After nearly 7 decades of development, the Vietnam Youth Union has become a large social organization, a place to connect and promote the youth's strength, intelligence and volunteer spirit in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. In Hanoi, the Youth Union has constantly innovated its content and methods of operation, implemented many creative and meaningful programs, contributing to building a civilized and modern capital.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Minh Phuc, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi City, emphasized that the celebration is an opportunity to honor and spread the spirit of initiative, creativity and volunteerism of young people, while affirming the core role of the Union in accompanying and giving wings to the youth of the capital and the whole country to rise up, live responsibly and contribute for a sustainable Vietnam.
In recent times, the Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi has made important changes in implementing the 2-level local government model and restructuring the youth apparatus at the grassroots level. The expansion from 30 administrative units to 126 communes and wards has opened up new opportunities, while also placing higher demands on the adaptability, innovation and operational efficiency of the Union.

On this occasion, the Hanoi City Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union awarded the "October 15" Award to 13 outstanding Union officials and honored 20 outstanding young families of the capital in 2025. In particular, 69 outstanding young people representing the young generation nationwide gathered at the event, bringing inspirational stories about the aspiration to live beautifully, live usefully, and contribute to the community. Among them were athlete Vu Tien Manh, young artist To Thu Ha and many other outstanding faces.
*On the afternoon of October 10, the Capital Women's Newspaper organized a discussion on the topic "Promoting the role of women in the Capital in Party and government building, digital transformation to firmly enter the era of national growth" to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union.
In her opening speech, Editor-in-Chief Le Quynh Trang emphasized the growing role of Hanoi women in patriotic emulation movements, digital transformation and building a strong political system. She said that the Hanoi Women's Union at all levels has completed its grassroots congresses, aiming for the 17th City Women's Congress in November 2025.
At the seminar, delegates affirmed the core and pioneering role of women in the development of the capital, actively contributing to the innovation, sustainable development and digital transformation of the capital in the new era.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thi An proposed that the city needs to have specific policies to support female intellectuals, especially in the fields of science, technology and business.
Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ngoc Ha Ward, Tran Thi Ha Giang, shared that the model of "Listening to people speak" helps to strengthen democracy and effectively apply digital technology in receiving and resolving people's petitions.
Master Pham Thi Ly proposed expanding the CheckVN platform to manage industrial and medical products and connecting with the technology system of the Hanoi Women's Union to create a transparent consumer environment and promote Vietnamese goods.
