Kiep Bac is bustling with fish release rituals and lucky money giving to pay tribute to national hero Tran Hung Dao.

Delegates released fish into the river, wishing for a forever clear Luc Dau river, abundant fish and shrimp, and a peaceful and prosperous life.

On October 11, at Kiep Bac Temple (Tran Hung Dao Ward), right after the Tran Hung Dao Temple Commemoration Ceremony, the Organizing Committee of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival released more than 7,000 fish into the Luc Dau River and distributed more than 4,500 gifts to people and tourists from all over.

More than 7,000 fish of various kinds were released into Luc Dau River by city leaders, people and tourists from all over the world - the river associated with many glorious feats of arms of the Tran Dynasty. Not only having profound humanitarian significance, this activity also contributes to the regeneration of aquatic resources, protection of the ecological environment and preservation of the natural beauty of the relic site.

The custom of giving fortune during festivals in Kiep Bac has become a unique cultural beauty, contributing to spreading the spirit of "remembering the source of drinking water" and uniting the community.

The two rituals of giving fortune and releasing fish are meaningful activities in the series of events of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival in 2025, attracting a large number of people and tourists from all over to participate. In the sacred space of Van Kiep, the sound of festival drums, temple bells and prayers resounded respectfully, expressing the traditional morality, pride and deep gratitude of the people to Saint Tran.
