Air Division 372 practically supports people in flood-hit areas

On October 10, Colonel Tran Tien Tung, Commander of the 372nd Air Division (Air Defense - Air Force) said that the unit had transported necessities to Thai Nguyen province and handed them over to the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Red Cross. These necessities were donated by officers and soldiers of the unit to support people affected by floods.

According to Colonel Tran Tien Tung, officers and soldiers of the 372nd Air Force Division are always ready to closely coordinate with the armed forces, local Party committees and authorities to help people in preventing, combating, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, and in rescue and relief work. The unit identifies this as a peacetime task, and the responsibility of officers and soldiers towards the people. Previously, the Division launched a fundraising campaign to support people in the northern provinces affected by floods. With the motto "urgent, fast, timely", the Division donated 17 tons of rice, 600 boxes of instant noodles, 70 kg of dry food and necessities such as filtered water, fresh milk, condensed milk, clothes, blankets, life jackets, MSG, cooking oil... with a total value of nearly 350 million VND. All the goods were directly transported by the Division on 3 mobile cars to the northern region to help people affected by floods.

After being handed over to the locality, it is expected that the goods and necessities will be transported by the Provincial Military Command and the Thai Nguyen Provincial Red Cross to support the people of Cho Moi, Tan Ky, Cam Giang, Na Phac, Phuc Loc, Van Lang, and Na Ri communes as soon as possible.

Due to the impact of storm No. 11 (Matmo), heavy rains have occurred in many northern provinces in recent days, causing many constructions and houses to be isolated, deeply flooded, and seriously eroded, causing great human and material damage.

With the spirit of "mutual love and affection", joining hands with the whole country to help the people in the North overcome difficulties; The Standing Party Committee and the Command of the 372nd Air Force Division directed agencies and units to launch the movement of "sharing food and clothes" to donate and support necessities to help the people in the North overcome the consequences of floods and stabilize their lives.
