Attending the launching ceremony at Bac Lieu Ward Health Station were Dr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Specialist II - Director of the Provincial Department of Health; Mr. Le Viet Xo - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu Ward; representatives of IDC leadership, along with leaders of local authorities, health units, and a large number of people in the area.
Bringing healthcare services closer to the people, proactively preventing disease early and remotely.

According to the plan, the launch ceremony will be held simultaneously at the commune and ward health stations in U Minh commune, Dam Doi commune, Dat Mui commune, Song Doc commune, and Bac Lieu ward. The simultaneous implementation in multiple locations demonstrates the health sector's determination to expand access to healthcare services for all segments of the population, especially those in remote, coastal, and disadvantaged areas.
Beyond just providing health check-ups and consultations, the program aims to foster a habit of regular health check-ups within the community, helping people proactively monitor their health, detect risk factors early, and receive timely treatment when necessary.
From early morning, at the event venues, medical staff and local health workers were diligently preparing all necessary equipment, supplies, and personnel to serve the health examination, consultation, and screening process.

Participants in the program receive checks on basic health indicators, advice on nutrition, lifestyle, disease prevention, and guidance on long-term health monitoring. For cases showing abnormal symptoms, healthcare professionals provide in-depth consultation and prescribe appropriate treatment and monitoring steps.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Department of Health, stated that health is the most valuable asset of every individual and a crucial foundation for sustainable socio-economic development.
According to Doctor Nguyen Chi Thanh, over the years the province has always focused on investing in, consolidating, and improving the quality of the healthcare system, especially the grassroots healthcare network, in order to better meet the healthcare needs of the people.
However, given the increasingly complex nature of the pandemic and the risk factors affecting public health, regular health check-ups and screenings for early disease detection are becoming an urgent requirement. This is an effective solution to minimize the risk of serious illness, improve quality of life, and reduce the burden on the healthcare system.
Enhancing the role of healthcare, aiming for a healthy community.

The program is implemented based on Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Plan No. 198/KH-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on periodic health check-ups and screening for the people in the period 2026 - 2030.
Following the success of the two previous phases, the third campaign in 2026 continues to aim at raising community awareness about healthcare, encouraging people to shift from a "cure" mindset to a "prevention" mindset, and contributing to building a modern and effective preventive healthcare system.
One of the program's key objectives is to strive to ensure that 100% of the province's population receives health check-ups, screenings, and has an integrated electronic health record created on the VNeID application by 2026.
According to the Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Department of Health, all residents in the province are eligible for free health check-ups and screenings. Priority is given to groups such as the elderly, people with disabilities, women, children, laborers, people with high-risk factors, poor households, near-poor households, policy beneficiaries, and vulnerable groups in society.

In addition to clinical examinations as prescribed by the Ministry of Health, people can also receive necessary paraclinical services such as laboratory tests, electrocardiograms, general ultrasounds, and other specialized procedures upon request. One of the highlights of the program is the active and effective participation of the grassroots healthcare system.
In recent years, Ca Mau province has focused on investing in improving the capacity of commune and ward health stations in a comprehensive manner; from facilities and equipment to human resources, gradually meeting the requirements of primary healthcare for the people.
Through large-scale community health check-ups, grassroots healthcare workers not only improve their professional capacity but also strengthen their connection with the people, building community trust in the public healthcare system.

Immediately following the launch ceremony in 5 localities, the Ca Mau Provincial Health Department will simultaneously deploy free health check-ups and screenings in all 64 communes and wards throughout the province and will continue to organize many more check-up sessions throughout 2026.
Doctor Nguyen Chi Thanh urged people to actively participate in regular health check-ups, proactively monitor and take care of their own health, contributing to building happy families, civilized communities, and a sustainably developing society...
