According to the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions , the program and emulation movement “The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses” has been basically completed. This was achieved thanks to the main support of the state budget, the mobilization of social resources and the contributions of the people.
Up to now, 23/34 provinces and cities have announced the completion of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, reaching a rate of 67.6%.

The remaining 11 localities are urgently implementing, including: Lang Son, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Lam Dong, Quang Nam , Dak Lak. These localities have started construction of all the houses in need of support, and are expected to announce 100% completion before August 20, 2025.
Over the past year, the country has mobilized over VND17,000 billion. This resource has supported the construction and repair of approximately 283,000 houses. Beneficiaries include poor and near-poor households, people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs. Housing support for ethnic minorities and mountainous areas alone has reached over 40,000 houses, equivalent to 200% of the plan.
Also according to the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, the program is expected to be announced as one of 80 special national programs, works and projects. This activity is to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day.
As proposed by the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, the program's closing ceremony will be held on August 23 in Hanoi . During the ceremony, many groups and individuals will receive Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister.
