The whole country turns its attention to Central Vietnam.

The unusually heavy rain and flooding from November 16th to 20th, 2025, in the provinces and cities of Da Nang, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong has caused and continues to cause very serious damage to people and property.

To promptly address the consequences of the rain and floods, the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Central Committee established five working groups led by Party and State leaders to continue inspecting, directing, and supervising the work of overcoming the consequences of the rain and floods in a number of localities; initially, several localities were assigned the task of directly supporting and assisting with food, clothing, medicine, and medical personnel to the localities most severely affected by the rain and floods as follows: Hanoi City supporting Gia Lai province; Ho Chi Minh City supporting Khanh Hoa province; Hai Phong City supporting Dak Lak province; Quang Ninh province supporting Lam Dong province.
