Cam Van early-ripening carrots yield high productivity.

According to the Cam Van Agricultural Service Cooperative, this winter season, the commune has over 1,000 households growing carrots on a total area of 150 hectares. This year, the weather has been quite favorable, resulting in high yields, attractive appearance, stable prices, and easy sales. The main markets are domestic and export. At the beginning of the season, carrots sold at the farm gate fetched 10-12 million VND per sao (approximately 1000 square meters), and after deducting costs, farmers earned a profit of 4-6 million VND per sao, similar to last year.
Cam Van commune has over 1,000 households growing carrots, with a total area of 150 hectares. Some households cultivate more than 2 acres, while others cultivate 2-3 sao (approximately 0.2 hectares). Early carrots in Cam Van commune have begun to be harvested. The carrot harvest season in Cam Van commune will last until the end of February. The 2023-2024 winter season saw favorable weather conditions, resulting in high early-season carrot yields, averaging 47-50 tons/ha, 3-4 tons/ha higher than last year. Carrot prices at the beginning of the season sold directly from the farm ranged from 10-12 million VND per sao (approximately 1000 square meters).
