In response to the 2023 Humanitarian Month, Red Cross branches at all levels in the province have implemented many practical and diverse activities to help people in difficult circumstances, such as: building and repairing 34 charitable houses for poor households, totaling 3 billion VND; providing 600 million VND in livelihood support to disadvantaged families; and awarding scholarships from the Vietnam Education Development Fund (EDF) to 1,030 underprivileged students, totaling nearly 700 million VND.
Representatives of the Provincial Red Cross Society presented financial support for the construction of a charitable house to Ms. Dang Thi Tuu, Vu Dong commune, Thai Binh city.
In addition, Red Cross branches at all levels organized free medical examinations and provided free medicine to more than 6,000 elderly people with a total value of 200 million VND; organized 3 voluntary blood donation drives, collecting more than 770 units of safe blood, promptly meeting the needs for emergency care and treatment of patients throughout the province... The total value of activities during the humanitarian month by Red Cross branches at all levels reached more than 6 billion VND.
The humanitarian activities carried out by Red Cross branches at all levels in the province during the month have provided timely support to disadvantaged and vulnerable people in society, helping them to confidently rise up in life.
