Regarding the conflict in India - Pakistan, the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan has informed about the temporary closure of airspace from 2:55 a.m. on May 7 (Vietnam time). Vietnam Airlines immediately adjusted the flight route and operating plan of flights between Vietnam and Europe.

According to Vietnam Airlines, this solution is to ensure the safety of passengers and crew. Some flights have changed their routes to avoid flying over Pakistan's airspace, such as between Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City and Frankfurt (Germany), Paris (France)...

In the coming time, flights between Vietnam and Europe may continue to be adjusted depending on developments in the region.

"Adjusting flight routes may result in longer flight times and additional operating costs. However, this is a necessary step that demonstrates Vietnam Airlines' top priority in ensuring absolute safety for passengers, crew and flights," said a Vietnam Airlines representative.

Meanwhile, speaking with a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper on the afternoon of May 8, travel companies responded differently but most still operated tours to India as usual.

Mr. Pham Anh Vu, Deputy General Director of Viet Travel Company, said that the company is currently maintaining the tour schedule to India as usual, customers can rest assured to depart. However, the company always closely follows the announcements from airlines and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to proactively adjust if necessary, ensuring absolute safety for customers and groups.

Tours to India are being sold by some travel companies.

"If there are any changes in flight times, routes or delays, the company will notify and support customers promptly. Currently, only Vietnam Airlines' tours to Europe have adjusted their times and schedules to avoid Pakistan's airspace, but domestic tours in India and Southeast Asia remain stable. Vietjet's flights from Vietnam to major cities New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore... have not been affected," Mr. Vu informed.

India is one of the favorite destinations for Vietnamese tourists, especially those on pilgrimage tours. Therefore, the latest conflict between India and Pakistan has made many tourists worried.

However, some travel companies said that according to updates from local partners in India, major tourist attractions such as New Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Mumbai... are currently operating normally.

Travel companies such as Vietravel, Saigontourist Travel… also confirmed that their tours to India are still operating normally.

However, some companies selling tours to India have announced that they will temporarily suspend their tours for a few days to monitor the situation, and will notify customers as soon as possible.
