On July 21, An Giang reburied 81 martyrs' remains.

According to the Provincial Steering Committee 515, it is expected that on the morning of July 21, at Doc Ba Dac Martyrs Cemetery (Thoi Son Ward, An Giang Province), the memorial service, memorial service, and burial of the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the wars in Cambodia and in the country will be held, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).

Provincial Military Command surveyed the preparations for the reburial ceremony.

Agencies, units, and localities will hang Party flags, national flags, and pennants from July 17 to 27. Promote information and propaganda on mass media and social networking platforms about the content and meaning of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, and activities of authorities at all levels in the work of "Repaying gratitude"...

In the dry season of 2024 - 2025, Team K93 (Provincial Military Command) and Team K90 (Military Region 9) searched for and collected 81 martyrs' remains. Of which, Team K93 collected 56 remains, Team K90 collected 25 remains. The organization of the visitation, memorial service, and burial ceremony demonstrated respect, solemnity, safety, and economy; demonstrated the deep concern of the Party, State, and People for the martyrs who participated in protecting the Fatherland and performing international duties. Specialized agencies advised on giving gifts to families of meritorious people and Team K; handing over martyrs' remains to local authorities for management; receiving biological samples, completing procedures to transfer to the Ministry of Home Affairs .
