Donating gifts and chicken breeds to people in flood-affected areas.

Continuing to support flood victims in overcoming the consequences and stabilizing their lives, on December 14th, in Suoi Trai commune, the Phu Yen Association in Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper organized a gift-giving event to share the difficulties with people severely affected by the recent floods.

The delegation included People's Armed Forces Hero Ho Dac Thanh, former Captain of the "No Number" Ship, along with representatives from the Phu Yen Association in Ho Chi Minh City, the Women's Newspaper, and local authorities.

At the gift-giving ceremony, on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Trinh Quang Phu, Chairman of the Phu Yen Association in Ho Chi Minh City, kindly inquired about and shared his condolences with the people of Suoi Trai commune regarding the losses and damage caused by the floods.

He expressed his hope that the people would soon overcome the consequences of the natural disaster, gradually restore production, and stabilize their lives; and affirmed that the association would continue to work alongside and connect social resources to support the people during this difficult period.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 100 gift packages to disadvantaged households. Each package included 500,000 VND in cash, 10 chicks, and a bag of feed, aiming to support the people in creating immediate livelihoods, quickly restocking their livestock, and improving their income.

In addition, the Women's Newspaper donated 1 ton of goods to Suoi Trai commune, including essential necessities and school notebooks, helping to alleviate difficulties for the people and students in their daily lives and studies after the floods.

Also as part of the program, the Phu Yen Association in Ho Chi Minh City continued to donate 38 bicycles to students of Nguyen Huu Tho Secondary School (Son Hoa commune), helping them to continue attending school without interruption.

On this occasion, author Trinh Quang Phu presented the school with a portrait of Lawyer and President Nguyen Huu Tho; he also donated books about President Ho Chi Minh and Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho, contributing to the education of traditions, fostering ideals, and instilling pride in the teachers and students of the school.

The timely and practical support from the Phu Yen Association in Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper not only helped the flood-affected people in the eastern part of Dak Lak province alleviate their immediate difficulties, but also spread the spirit of solidarity and compassion among compatriots, working together to overcome natural disasters and move towards a stable and sustainable life.
