According to the Hai Duong Provincial Statistics Office, the province's industrial production index in April increased by 15.1% over the same period last year. In the first four months of 2024, Hai Duong's industrial production index increased by 14.3%. The highlight of the province's industrial production in the first months of 2024 is that some industries with large proportions have high growth rates, affecting the general index.

The electricity production and distribution industry increased by 21.2% due to the high output of thermal power plants since the beginning of the year. Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint Stock Company overcame the problem with Unit 6, so the electricity output of this unit alone increased by 70.3% compared to the same period last year. The motor vehicle manufacturing industry increased by 15%, of which the production of ignition wires and other wires used for motor vehicles increased by 14.9%, and electrical equipment parts increased by 21.3%. Besides the industries with high growth rates, some industries have slow growth rates and low output. The metal manufacturing industry only increased by 7.3%. This industry has a large proportion in the total industrial production value of the province but its growth rate is lower than the average growth rate of the whole industry. Production of non-metallic mineral products decreased by 7% due to low market demand.
