How to use air conditioner fan properly, both cool and energy saving

However, the cooling efficiency of the air conditioner fan will be reduced when using the fan in a closed room with high humidity.

The air conditioner fan has a cooling function by balancing the humidity of the environment, so when using it, you do not need to close the door like when using an air conditioner, but just place the fan in a spacious, airy place.

The fan uses water to reduce the temperature but does not spray water vapor out, so you can use it in rooms with electronic equipment without worrying about damage. The air intake (back) of the fan should be placed in a spacious place, easy to catch a lot of wind, the recommended minimum distance from obstacles is 20 cm.

Do not place objects that obstruct the fan's air intake and circulation, otherwise it will reduce cooling efficiency and waste electricity.

Pour enough water into the tank: When using an air conditioner fan, you should pour water from 1/2 of the tank or more. Operating the fan without water will also affect the durability of the pump and reduce the life of the fan. Pouring too much water can easily cause it to overflow, increasing the risk of short circuit and fire when the air conditioner fan is operating.

Do not add perfume or other scented water to the tank for scenting. This can clog the cooling pad, water pipes/hose, or even clog the pump, causing damage to the fan. You can also add ice to the water tank, which is a great way to quickly cool down the air on hot days.

Choose a suitable sitting position: Depending on the operating capacity of each type of air conditioner fan, choose a sitting position to ensure receiving the most suitable amount of wind and coolness.

You can refer to the following sitting position: For fans with a capacity of less than 80W, you should sit 2-3 meters away from the fan to get enough cool wind. For fans with a capacity of more than 80W, you should sit more than 3 meters away to ensure health safety, avoid colds, headaches, and dizziness.

Humidify dry, low humidity environments: If the air humidity is too low, you should manually increase humidity by mopping the floor to create coolness, leaving a basin of water or a damp towel in the room to create humidity.

For outdoor spaces, you can spray water or wipe the yard/floor wet to increase humidity. This will help the fan cool more effectively, bringing a comfortable feeling when using.

How to use air conditioner fan to save electricity

When using an air conditioner fan, you need to place the fan in a cool place, not blocked by objects in the house so that the fan can get good air, both helping to cool optimally and saving energy.

Regularly cleaning the fan also helps save electricity. You should clean the fan periodically every 4-5 weeks because the fan is very susceptible to dust. If dust accumulates, the cooling capacity will be poor, requiring the fan to operate at high capacity and consume more electricity.

Limit the use of ion and ozone generation mode: Users should only use this mode when absolutely necessary, because when selecting this mode, the fan will consume a lot of electricity.

Turning off the fan and unplugging the power cord when not in use is also a way to save electricity.

Air conditioners have the effect of cooling the air, not having the cooling function like air conditioners. In ideal conditions, they can help reduce about 4-15 degrees Celsius compared to the ambient temperature and the temperature reduction will depend on many factors such as ambient temperature, ambient humidity, and space used.

If you do not use the water cooling function (Cool mode), the air conditioner fan has the cooling function like a normal mechanical fan. When starting the fan, you should choose Cool mode: Take cold water and put it in the water tank, add dry ice or ice cubes, wait for 15 minutes, the room temperature will decrease and increase the best cooling effect.

After running the fan for about 15 - 20 minutes, select the rotation mode to cool and ventilate the entire room.

Water in the tank needs to be changed weekly to avoid the growth of bacteria that can affect the health of your family.

In addition to manual humidification, it is recommended to combine the use of Humidity Control mode to control humidity and the ionization function (if available) to clean the air. Users should set the temperature to about 24 - 26 degrees Celsius when the outside temperature is 30 degrees Celsius (setting a difference of about 5 degrees Celsius compared to the outside temperature is reasonable).
