At a meeting of the Royal Cambodian Government, Prime Minister Hun Manet emphasized that eradicating high-tech fraud networks is a core issue, directly related to Cambodia's image and prestige on the international stage. He demanded that all relevant authorities participate with the highest sense of responsibility.

Cambodian authorities have dismantled high-tech fraud rings.
While commending the great efforts and achievements of the National Police Force in the past period, the Prime Minister noted that challenges remain very significant. He instructed local authorities, the police, and the Gendarmerie to absolutely not be complacent or negligent.
Demonstrating the principle of "actions speak louder than words," on May 22nd, Prime Minister Hun Manet signed a decision dismissing two high-ranking officials in Mondulkiri province: Lieutenant General Lor Sokha, Director of the Provincial Police Department, and Major General Hem Bonarel, Commander of the Provincial Gendarmerie.
Although official documents do not detail the reasons for the disciplinary action, according to Cambodian media, this drastic decision is directly related to lax management and failure to strictly implement government orders to crack down on high-tech fraud rings in Mondulkiri province.
In the coming period, the head of the Cambodian government has requested that all levels of government vigorously implement the "Safe Commune, Ward, and Town" policy. Measures to prevent and deter crime must be carried out persistently, focusing heavily on high-tech crime, drug-related crimes, and other offenses.
