From innovating leadership methods and improving the quality of Party branch activities to focusing on mass mobilization work and promoting the exemplary role of cadres and Party members, the commune's Party committee has created consensus among the people, contributing to the increasingly developed locality.

Close to the people, deeply involved at the grassroots level.

Given the local conditions still facing many difficulties due to the impact of climate change and saltwater intrusion, and the challenging living conditions of some people, the Long Vinh Commune Party Committee has determined that in order to achieve sustainable development, it is essential to first build a truly strong Party organization that is close to the people and understands their needs.

According to Comrade Thai Thi My Dung, Secretary of the Long Vinh Commune Party Committee, the most important thing in grassroots Party building is not grand slogans, but how cadres and Party members behave and work with the people in their daily lives.

"People judge the Party organization based on the attitude and sense of responsibility of its officials. Therefore, officials must be closely connected to the grassroots, practice what they preach, and resolve people's issues with a sense of responsibility and sincerity," shared Comrade Thai Thi My Dung.

From that perspective, the Long Vinh Commune Party Committee focuses on improving the quality of activities of the Party branches. Meetings are no longer merely ceremonial but address specific local issues such as building new rural areas, environmental protection, the people's production situation, social welfare work, and emerging problems in the lives of the residents.

Many Party branches maintain the practice of dedicating time for Party members to engage in frank discussions and offer constructive suggestions, thereby promptly resolving difficulties at the grassroots level. The building and implementation of cultural and human values based on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style are integrated into emulation movements, Party branch meetings, and mass organization activities, contributing to the formation of a healthy cultural environment and fostering a spirit of unity and responsibility among cadres, Party members, and the people.

In the first quarter of 2026, Long Vinh commune organized more than 1,100 propaganda and dissemination sessions on the Party's resolutions and policies, with over 26,000 participants. The content of the propaganda focused on major resolutions and issues of concern to the people, such as economic development, building a cultural life, environmental protection, and social welfare.

The "Bringing Resolutions into Life" initiative has been implemented in every Party branch, along with innovative methods of dissemination through radio broadcasts, social media, local fanpages, and Zalo groups at the grassroots level. As a result, much official information is quickly conveyed, contributing to the reduction of fake news and misinformation on social media.

The Secretary of the Long Vinh Commune Party Committee provided information on the model for organizing thematic discussions and meetings with Party members. Accordingly, quarterly, based on the actual situation, the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee unanimously selects appropriate thematic content and speakers to organize thematic meetings.

The participants were expanded to include members of political and social organizations, thereby spreading the propaganda content beyond the Party organization, thus guiding ideology, raising political awareness among cadres, Party members and the people, strengthening social consensus and contributing to building a strong and comprehensive political system.

In addition to Party building, the Long Vinh commune Party Committee focuses on leading socio-economic development. In recent years, many rural roads have been invested in and constructed, and aquaculture models continue to yield results, creating jobs for local people. In grassroots movements, many cadres and Party members have demonstrated exemplary roles through concrete actions such as donating land for road construction, mobilizing people to contribute to bridge construction, caring for disadvantaged households, and preserving the environment.

Leveraging his role as a respected figure among the Khmer community, Mr. Nguyen Van Doi (74 years old, Cai Co hamlet) has for many years actively worked with the local government to propagate and encourage people to comply with the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, participate in patriotic emulation movements, and build a cultural life in the residential area.

Ms. Huynh Thi Cam Vui, Head of the Front Committee of Cai Co Hamlet, commented: "Not only is Mr. Doi a 'bridge' between the government and the people, but he also regularly interacts with the people, understanding their thoughts and aspirations to provide timely support. In cases of internal family conflicts or minor disputes between neighbors, he proactively investigates the causes, patiently analyzing right and wrong so that all parties can understand and reach a reasonable conclusion."

Thanks to his sincere, gentle, and authoritative way of speaking, many disputes have been resolved at the grassroots level. Mr. Doi shared: "The people in the neighborhood have lived together for many years, so it's important to know how to compromise and listen to maintain harmony. Having credibility means I have a responsibility to mobilize and help the people unite, working together to build a peaceful and prosperous neighborhood."

To date, the "Effective Mass Mobilization" movement in Long Vinh commune continues to be maintained with 19 operational models in various fields. Among them, the model "Social mobilization in building charitable houses for disadvantaged families in Long Vinh commune" has been registered at the provincial level due to its practical effectiveness.

Comrade Thai Thi My Dung commented that mass mobilization work is only effective when officials know how to listen to and share with the people. "Many times, people don't need anything too grand; they just hope their opinions are acknowledged and that the government will promptly address their difficulties."

Regular interaction and dialogue with the people have been maintained. Through meetings with constituents, many issues related to rural transportation, the environment, production, and people's lives have been directly raised by the people and addressed and resolved step by step by the local authorities. In particular, the "Comradeship" model continues to be effectively maintained, fostering cohesion among Party members.

Weekly, Party members in agencies, units, and grassroots Party branches contribute a minimum of 20,000 VND, and the Party branches under the Party Committee proactively develop plans to implement the model in accordance with reality, ensuring a spirit of voluntariness, solidarity, and effectiveness. From these contributions, support has been provided to visit sick Party members, relatives of deceased Party members, and to help the elderly living alone and those in difficult circumstances.

According to the Secretary of the Long Vinh Commune Party Committee, Thai Thi My Dung, in the coming time, the commune will focus on improving the quality of Party branch activities, promoting the exemplary role of cadres and Party members, and replicating effective models in studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings, mass mobilization work, and building cultural life in residential areas. "Building the Party at the grassroots level must begin with small things, things closest to the people. When the people trust and agree, all movements will be successful," Comrade Thai Thi My Dung affirmed.

In accordance with Regulation No. 11-QDi/TW dated February 18, 2019, of the Politburo on the responsibility of heads of Party committees in receiving citizens, engaging in direct dialogue with citizens, and handling citizens' feedback and suggestions, and Plan No. 07-KH/DU dated July 25, 2025, of the Long Vinh Commune Party Committee on receiving citizens by the Party Secretary, the work of contact and dialogue between heads of Party committees and the government with cadres, Party members, and the people has been maintained in a systematic manner, promptly receiving and resolving legitimate suggestions and feedback from the people. Since the beginning of the year, the commune has organized 17 meetings with voters, recording over 70 opinions. Issues within the local government's authority have been satisfactorily explained, with 56 opinions within the commune's jurisdiction being satisfactorily addressed by the Commune People's Committee.
