In 2005, after graduating from People's Police High School II, Lieutenant Colonel Le Tan Du was assigned to work at the Criminal Police Team of Tan Hung District Police, Long An Province (now Tay Ninh Province).
In 2008, he was transferred to the Criminal Police Department of Can Giuoc District Police, Long An Province. After 3 years of working here, he was transferred to hold the position of Chief of Police of My Loc Commune, Can Giuoc District.
In July 2025, he was assigned to the position of Deputy Chief of Police of Tan Tap Commune, Tay Ninh Province.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Tan Du propagates and mobilizes people to be vigilant against all types of crimes.
After the merger, the management area is large and the workload has increased, but with the spirit of "Serving the people", Lieutenant Colonel Le Tan Du is always dedicated, responsible, and constantly learning to serve the people better.
Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, he promoted discipline, complied with the People's Public Security regulations, Uncle Ho's Six Teachings to the People's Public Security; set an example in implementing the Party's policies and the State's laws; actively advised and coordinated with local departments, branches and organizations to maintain local security and order.

After the merger, Tan Tap commune's area is quite large, with many potential complications due to changes in population and administrative management.
Not to be passive, Lieutenant Colonel Le Tan Du and the Commune Police deployed a security camera model. In just one month of implementation, the camera system with nearly 150 eyes covered all hamlets, directly connected to the phones of the officers on duty and the hamlet chief. Thanks to that, social evils in the area decreased by 25%, many incidents were prevented right from the beginning.
For Lieutenant Colonel Le Tan Du, each project is a fierce battle of wits. "Remembering Uncle Ho's teaching "Our police are the people's police, serving the people", I strive to overcome many difficulties, dedicating myself to the peaceful life of the people" - Lieutenant Colonel Le Tan Du shared.
At his new working unit - Tan Tap commune, he also proposed to implement the establishment of a profile to send subjects to compulsory drug rehabilitation, which was selected by the Drug Crime Prevention Police Department of the Provincial Police as a model profile for localities throughout the province to implement.
Not only is he good at his job and sharp in investigating and solving cases, Lieutenant Colonel Le Tan Du also learns and follows Uncle Ho's example through specific and practical actions such as receiving people and propagating the law in residential areas.
For him, applying well the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Public Security is the "connecting thread" between the People and the grassroots police force, helping the police force to successfully complete all assigned political tasks.
