Over the years, the school has trained and provided quality human resources in key areas of transportation such as construction, logistics, maritime transport... and is the first university in Vietnam to train and access high-speed railway technology.
In addition, implementing the Resolution of the Party and Government on streamlining the apparatus, the school is a pioneer in perfecting the organizational and management system to improve operational efficiency.

From 2020 to now, the school has reduced 11 internal focal points (from 39 streamlined focal points to 28 focal points), achieving a reduction rate of nearly 30%.
In addition, in the work of streamlining the training management apparatus, the school is the first unit to dissolve 45 departments, converting to a new model of training program management (director, training program manager) in a modern direction, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Higher Education.

The Minister encouraged the school to continue promoting its strengths in connecting theory and practice, and at the same time, expand international cooperation to improve the quality of training and research, prioritizing core professions, especially high-speed railways, urban railways, and automation applications.
The Minister requested that school lecturers must constantly innovate teaching methods and apply advanced science and technology to their lectures for students. Graduates must have skills and expertise that meet practical needs. The school also needs to prioritize occupations that require high human resources such as high-speed railways, urban railways, and logistics; broaden thinking and improve scientific research.
The Minister suggested that the school continue to promote its strengths in training.
To make the work effective, Minister Tran Hong Minh asked the school to continue to unite to achieve the set goals, further enhance the school's brand to become a leading unit in training in the field of transportation in the South as well as the whole country.

Regarding some proposals and recommendations on facilities and premises, Minister Tran Hong Minh said that he will soon work with functional units and localities to support and resolve them.
