Can Tho has a new Secretary of the City Party Committee

On the afternoon of January 17, at the Can Tho City Party Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung chaired a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel work.

Mr. Le Minh Hung, Head of the Central Organizing Committee (standing in the middle) presented flowers to congratulate Mr. Do Thanh Binh and Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu.

Accordingly, the Politburo decided that Mr. Do Thanh Binh, Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, and was transferred, assigned, and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The Politburo also decided that Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, will cease to participate in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, and will cease to hold the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the same time, mobilize, assign and appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

Mr. Do Thanh Binh was born in 1967, hometown Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province. Education: Master of Economics; political theory: Bachelor.

Before being appointed as Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, he held many positions such as: Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Thuan District, Secretary of the Vinh Thuan District Party Committee (Kien Giang Province), Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, Head of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, Vice Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee.
