Can Tho responds to National Digital Transformation Day

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc He, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee chaired the Conference.

The conference aims to promote digital transformation among all cadres, civil servants, and public employees of the city, as well as among businesses and residents of the city. The conference reviewed the outstanding results of digital transformation work in Can Tho City; the units also introduced outstanding digital transformation platforms. These are the Can Tho City spatial planning platform (SPP); introducing and demonstrating the Flood Risk Management Information System (FRMIS), the Flood Information Management System (SCADA); introducing and launching the Can Tho City Mass Open Online Learning Platform (MOOCs platform).

Speaking at the launching ceremony in response to National Digital Transformation Day, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc He emphasized: Digital transformation is an inevitable trend and an important driving force for socio -economic development, enhancing national competitiveness in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. In recent times, the city has achieved some encouraging results such as: developing digital infrastructure, shared platforms; gradually forming a shared data warehouse of the city...

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc He requested agencies, units, localities, and enterprises to continue spreading the message of National Digital Transformation Day, Can Tho City Digital Transformation Day; launch emulation movements to respond to National Digital Transformation Day in 2024; continue to organize community digital technology teams to popularize and support people in using digital products and services. Pay attention to promoting the implementation of mass open online learning platforms, which are platforms that contribute to raising awareness for the digital transformation team, saving time and resources for implementation; urban spatial planning platform (the goal of developing an integrated spatial data infrastructure for the city to reduce flood risks in the central urban area); flood risk management information system (FRMIS - under Project 3), flood information management system, etc.
