Representatives of Cat Bi International Airport visited and presented gifts to policy families in Hai An ward.

In particular, Cat Bi International Airport (Vietnam Airports Corporation) always focuses on the work of 'repaying gratitude'.

Durable, ready to care

The gifts from Cat Bi International Airport were given directly to many families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions during holidays and Tet, becoming a valuable source of encouragement and support.

On the occasion of the recent Lunar New Year, the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, Phuong Luu Residential Group, Dong Hai Ward, was given 1 million VND from Cat Bi International Airport. “I am often sick, have difficulty traveling, and raise a child infected with Agent Orange/dioxin. Therefore, the gift from the unit helps my family have a full spring holiday with Chung cake, Tet jam…”, Ms. Thu shared.

On the occasion of the recent Tet holiday, 49 other cases had the same joy as Mrs. Thu's family. This is a practical and meaningful activity carried out by Cat Bi International Airport on the occasion of the groundbreaking ceremony of the unit's cargo terminal.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, Deputy Director, Chairman of the Cat Bi International Airport Trade Union, said that on major holidays or special events, the Executive Board of the Trade Union always focuses on advising the Board of Directors to organize activities to care for families with preferential policies and share difficulties with the community. Most of the cases that the company gives gifts and supports are Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers, people infected with Agent Orange/dioxin, and lonely former youth volunteers.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day this year and towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the port plans to spend 30 - 50 million VND to organize activities to visit and give gifts to people with revolutionary contributions.

Every year, the unit's young people and workers actively participate in activities such as visiting martyrs' cemeteries and taking care of heroic Vietnamese mothers in Hai An and Dong Hai wards.

How to do it yourself

Cat Bi International Airport organizes the 2025 Charity Tet gift giving event for policy families, people with revolutionary contributions, and households in difficult circumstances.

With the motto "the value that every business aims for is to contribute to society", Cat Bi International Airport has actively and persistently participated in many humanitarian activities, supporting funding for building and repairing charity houses... for nearly 2 decades.

Every year, the port usually launches 1-2 concentrated support campaigns: to show gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, people with revolutionary contributions (July), giving Tet gifts to policy families, ethnic minorities, children in difficult circumstances, living in Cao Bang , Dien Bien, Son La... with a total budget of 100-200 million VND/year.

In the coming time, Cat Bi International Airport Trade Union will coordinate with Noi Bai International Airport Trade Union to sponsor the construction of a people's bridge in Lao Cai province.

The movement “Repaying gratitude” was launched and spread widely throughout the unit, attracting many employees and workers to voluntarily participate in support. There are cases where individuals contribute and support tens of millions of VND/year...

Along with that, responding to the movement "Good people, good deeds", the campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society , at Cat Bi International Airport, the initiative "Humanitarian Box" has been maintained for many years. The humanitarian box is placed in the waiting room - an easy-to-observe place and frequented by many people so that domestic and foreign tourists can join hands and contribute to the volunteer programs and the "gratitude" movement that this enterprise is implementing.

With the meaning of “contributing small amounts of money to create great affection”, each year, the revenue from the Humanitarian Box is about 15 - 20 million VND. The Port uses this money to support and contribute to organizations: Ward Veterans Association, Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims, City Association of People with Disabilities, etc.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai An Ward, a number of businesses in the ward are actively and willingly participating in the activities of "Repaying gratitude". Cat Bi International Airport is a typical unit, a bright spot in this movement.

The participation and continuous companionship of Cat Bi International Airport with local social security activities over the past years is a clear demonstration of the spirit of solidarity and sharing for the sake of compatriots, which needs to be further expanded in the business community.

GREAT
