Warning of a flood on rivers from Thanh Hoa to Hue

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the night of August 29 to September 1, a flood occurred on rivers from Thanh Hoa to Hue.

Floods in the upper reaches of rivers in Thanh Hoa are receding, while the lower reaches are changing slowly. Water levels in rivers from Nghe An to Hue are changing slowly.

From tonight (August 29) to September 1, there will be a flood on rivers from Thanh Hoa to Hue. During this flood, the peak water level on rivers in Thanh Hoa; upstream rivers in Nghe An, Ha Tinh ; Gianh River, Kien Giang River, Thach Han River (Quang Tri) will rise to level 2-3, some places above level 3; downstream rivers in Nghe An, Ha Tinh, rivers in Hue will rise to level 1-2 and above level 2.

There is a high risk of flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and landslides on steep slopes in provinces from Thanh Hoa to Hue.

Floods on rivers and streams can cause flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, affecting activities such as water transport, aquaculture, agricultural production, people's lives and socio-economic activities.
