Khanh Hoa to hand over site for Nuclear Power Plant Project in October 2025

On August 29, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held a meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee to implement the Nuclear Power Plant project.

In his directive speech, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang requested relevant agencies and localities to urgently speed up the site clearance progress, considering this an urgent task: basically complete compensation, support, and resettlement in September and finalize payment and handover of the site in October 2025.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province to dispatch officials to support the commune in appraising compensation and resettlement plans; review the implementation plan of the commune level, make a comprehensive assessment, point out difficulties and problems, and report to the Provincial People's Committee before September 4.

Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Finance is assigned to monitor and guide relevant localities to speed up the disbursement of public investment capital; People's Committees of relevant communes develop specific site clearance plans, closely following the targets; The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee coordinates with relevant agencies to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to promptly hand over the site so that the project can be implemented smoothly...

To implement the Nuclear Power Plant project , in fact, it is necessary to reclaim a total area of more than 1,130 hectares with 1,153 households. Of which, the total area of the 2 factories is 815.03 hectares (factory 1 is 409.53 hectares and factory 2 is 405.5 hectares); the total area of the 2 factory resettlement areas is 119.25 hectares, the residential area is 13.4 hectares, the cemetery area is about 22.27 hectares, the pumping station area is 0.59 hectares, and the resettlement area is about 159.6 hectares.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa province, with the spirit of urgency and determination, striving to complete the project within 5 years in accordance with the direction of the Central Government; all levels and sectors of the province have focused on implementing specific tasks, many tasks have achieved positive results, meeting the schedule.
