During the program, the 42nd Naval Squadron conducted awareness campaigns on the situation of the sea and islands and the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard for over 200 fishermen. In addition, the organizers presented many practical gifts to support disadvantaged families and fishermen, including cash, essential goods, life jackets, medical kits, and national flags. Furthermore, the Youth Union of the 42nd Naval Squadron coordinated with members of the Rach Goc Border Guard Post, the police, and the youth of Phan Ngoc Hien Commune to plant 100 trees to combat saltwater intrusion; and to clean up and collect waste to protect the marine environment.
Comrade Nguyen Cong Thang, Head of the Propaganda, Press and Publishing Department of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, presented the fraternal flag to the two units.
Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Minh Hien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Naval Squadron 42, along with Comrade Tran Minh Dang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Phan Ngoc Hien Commune, presented gifts to families entitled to preferential policies.
Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Minh Hien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Naval Squadron 42, stated: “These activities contribute to consolidating trust and strengthening close coordination between Naval Squadron 42 and the Party Committee, government, and people of Phan Ngoc Hien Commune in protecting sovereignty and enforcing maritime law. This also serves as a foundation for strengthening military-civilian solidarity and building a solid national defense and people's security posture at sea.”
