Police extinguish truck fire on Highway 1A

A truck carrying gravel traveling from North to South on National Highway 1A suddenly caught fire when it reached the Dien Truong village overpass, Pho Khanh commune, Duc Pho town (Quang Ngai).

At around 9:00 a.m. on April 19, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Quang Ngai Province received a report that a truck carrying gravel with license plate 36C-462.xx driven by Mr. NTL (born in 1982, residing in Hoai An district, Binh Dinh) was traveling on National Highway 1A in the North-South direction to the overpass in Dien Truong village, Pho Khanh commune, Duc Pho town when it suddenly caught fire.

Upon receiving the fire alarm, the leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department urgently mobilized 3 fire trucks and 16 officers and soldiers to the scene to organize fire fighting.

By around 10am the same day, the fire was under control and extinguished, after which firefighters continued to cool the burned vehicle. The fire did not cause any human casualties, but the vehicle was severely damaged.

The cause of the fire and specific damage statistics are being further verified by authorities.
