However, in reality, this data is currently lacking in synchronization and incompleteness, causing difficulties and inconveniences for people, wasting resources of the State and society. Through this peak period, information on marriage, divorce, and single status will be updated accurately, promptly and synchronously on the national information system, and at the same time displayed publicly and transparently on , with legal value and authenticated by competent authorities, ensuring high reliability.
Thanks to that, people will no longer have to spend time traveling many times to apply for a marriage status certificate in administrative procedures, civil, economic and social transactions, contributing to minimizing paperwork and records, avoiding duplication, and at the same time creating conditions for agencies and units to coordinate to resolve administrative procedures quickly and accurately.

The plan to launch a 90-day peak period to clean up marriage data and implement the reduction of marriage status confirmation procedures starting from May 31, 2025 to August 31, 2025 is a very practical step.
The plan has identified 5 key groups of tasks, including: Standardizing and synchronizing marriage, divorce, and marital status data from electronic civil status databases, the Court with the National Population Database under the Ministry of Public Security; Digitizing and cleaning divorce information data according to court judgments and decisions to update the National Population Database and display it on VneID; Piloting the use of marital status information on VNeID to serve the settlement of administrative procedures and transactions in accordance with the law;
Coordinate consultation, propose amendments and supplements to relevant legal regulations to officially recognize the legal value of information displayed on VNeID in handling administrative procedures; Reduce the number of documents, simplify administrative procedures related to marital status confirmation, and move towards abolishing the traditional procedure of issuing marital status confirmation certificates.
In their discussions at the Conference, delegates focused on analyzing and making recommendations to effectively implement the above-mentioned peaks, including: Promoting the upgrading of information technology systems to integrate judicial data with population data; Promoting the reconciliation and cleaning of marriage data and citizens' marital status; Preparing basic conditions for connecting, digitizing, and cleaning citizens' marital status information data.
In his concluding remarks, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long requested that leaders of local People's Committees, leaders of agencies, units and localities unify their awareness and identify this as a key task, given top priority in the coming time, and at the same time, proactively develop a Plan to organize implementation in units and localities.
