Tan Son Nhat increases flights, serving 125,000 passengers/day on National Day

On August 22, the International Airport provided information on passenger service during the peak holiday of National Day, September 2.

According to this unit, during the peak service period of National Day September 2 (from August 30 to September 2, 2025), the airport's operating output will increase by about 6% compared to present.

It is expected that there will be an average of 730 flights arriving and departing from Tan Son Nhat every day, including 430 domestic flights and 300 international flights, an increase of about 40 flights compared to normal days. The average number of passengers per day will reach about 125,000 (75,000 domestic passengers, 50,000 international passengers), an increase of nearly 7,000 compared to present.

The two peak days are expected to fall on August 30 (peak domestic departures) and September 2 (peak domestic arrivals), with about 750 flights and 130,000 passengers passing through Tan Son Nhat airport.

To date, the coordination with airlines and related units in adjusting operations has been completed. Accordingly, all domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines , Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Bamboo Airways and Vietravel Airlines have been transferred to operate at passenger terminal T3.

Vietjet Air's domestic flights will continue to operate at passenger terminal T1 as before.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport said it will closely coordinate with units to ensure security, flight safety, and flexible traffic management during rush hours.

The airport operator recommends that passengers arrive at the terminal early, prepare all necessary documents, and check their luggage according to regulations. Passengers are encouraged to check in online before arriving at the airport to save time.

During more than three peak summer months (May 22 - August 17, 2025), Tan Son Nhat International Airport operated 60,144 flights, an average of 699 flights/day, an increase of nearly 6% over the same period in 2024.

Passenger volume reached over 10.2 million, an average of 118,900 passengers/day, up 4.5% over last year. Of which, domestic passengers increased by 2.39%, international passengers increased sharply by 7.73%.
