Enhancing mutual understanding between the young generation of Vietnamese and Japanese leaders

On August 22, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong received Mr. Nakasone Yasutaka, Member of the House of Representatives, Head of the Youth Committee of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan (LDP), and a delegation of the Youth Committee who are visiting Vietnam.

Speaking at the reception, President Luong Cuong assessed that the delegation's exchange activities with the group of young National Assembly deputies of the 15th tenure and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union are important and substantive channels of exchange, contributing to enhancing mutual understanding between the young leadership generations of the two countries, creating an important foundation in promoting the Vietnam - Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The President suggested that the LDP Youth Committee make efforts to promote visits and contacts between senior leaders, ministries, sectors, parliamentarians , and exchanges between localities of Vietnam and Japan; support Vietnam in realizing its development goals, help Vietnamese enterprises participate more deeply in Japan's supply chain, promote cooperation in the fields of AI, quantum, semiconductors, and connect human resources, especially high-quality human resources.

President Luong Cuong received Mr. Nakasone Yasutaka, Head of the Youth Committee of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan (LDP) and the Youth Committee delegation.

At the reception, Mr. Nakasone Yasutaka affirmed that he will continue to promote exchange and cooperation activities between the LDP Youth Committee and young parliamentarians and youth of Vietnam from the central to local levels.

Mr. Nakasone Yasutaka also emphasized that Japan wishes to promote the implementation of more high-quality ODA and FDI cooperation projects in Vietnam, promote cooperation in various fields, especially the contents of the new pillar on science and technology; affirmed that the ruling party LDP wishes to create a more favorable environment for the community of more than 600,000 Vietnamese people living and studying in Japan, considering this an important force that has been contributing to the socio-economic development of Japan.

At the meeting, some delegates expressed their desire to promote cooperation and connection between localities of the two countries through people-to-people exchanges, investment, tourism cooperation, etc., affirming that close cooperation contributes to the success of "Vietnam Day" at Expo Osaka 2025.
